Troublmaker - PDF Shawl Knitting Pattern for DK Yarn
'Troublemaker' is the big bad brother to my 'Wavemaker' shawl that is knit in a fingering weight. And just like it's little brother, it's a perfect way to show off beautiful variegated yarn.
Pattern is written (no charts) with detailed stitch count. The repeat is easy to memorise and consists solely of yarn overs and knit stitches.
Knit with DK yarn, using a semi-solid and a vibrant multi, approx. 400 metres of the semi and 340 metres of the multi.
The shawl is blocked at the end, to open up the wave pattern, so so ensure the yarn you use lends itself well to being blocked.
The shawl is an equilateral triangle measuring approx. 245cm x 200cm x 130cm (or 96"x 79" x 51").
I knit mine with a 5mm needle (US 8) - I am a tight knitter, so if you are not, you may want to drop a needle size.
Gauge is 19 stitches by 38 rows over 10cm/4" of **unblocked** garter stitch.
